On August 30th and 31st, 2025, The Backyard Filmmakers showcased the creativity and diversity of Miami’s independent film community. Hosted at Sala Artefactus, a cultural hub for independent art and avant-garde proposals, the event featured a curated, non-competitive selection of short films highlighting Miami’s emerging cinematic voices.

Due to overwhelming interest, an additional day was added on August 31st to accommodate more viewers. Both nights were completely sold out, reflecting the strong support for local filmmaking in Miami.
