OUR STORY

THE BEGINNING — 2019

Salgado Studios was founded in Miami in 2019 by filmmaker Steven Salgado.

Our first chapter began through a collaboration with MVP Originals, where we helped develop and produce three feature films. Those early productions gave us something essential: experience. They taught us how to build projects, work with crews, solve problems, and keep creating.

FINDING OUR VOICE — 2021–PRESENT

As Salgado Studios grew independently, we began developing stories that reflected our own creative voice. Silence in the Dark, Heartbeats, and We Don’t Have Money for Zombies marked this new chapter—original films developed through Salgado Studios and driven by a commitment to independent filmmaking.

This became Films, the Art of Salgado Studios.

GROWING BEYOND FILMS

Along the way, filmmaking also opened the door to collaborations with businesses, organizations, artists, and other creative partners. We began bringing the same filmmaking approach to commercial and branded projects, creating cinematic work built around each client’s story and purpose.

This became Brands, the Business of Salgado Studios.

SHARING THE CRAFT

Teaching has also become an important part of our journey. Through workshops and hands-on filmmaking experiences, we began sharing what we have learned with students and giving them the opportunity to experience filmmaking by actually making films.

This became Academy, the Heart of Salgado Studios.

THE STORY CONTINUES

Today, Salgado Studios continues to grow around the same three ideas that define who we are:

Art. Business. Heart.

We make films. We create for brands. We teach filmmaking. And we are still building.
