STORIES IMAGINED, PERFORMED, AND BROUGHT TO LIFE
Since 2024, Salgado Studios and Para Bajitos have collaborated on annual summer camps where children explore storytelling through creativity, performance, and filmmaking.
Each year, students develop original stories, perform them on camera, and experience the process of transforming their ideas into finished audiovisual productions.
Over three summers, the program has resulted in three original productions: The Dwarf Horse (2024), The Hummingbird Who Wanted to Touch the Rainbow (2025), and Adventure in the Andes (2026).
Each new production builds on the experience of the previous year, giving young participants a creative space to experiment with characters, stories, performance, and the filmmaking process while seeing their ideas become something tangible on screen.
Through each project, students build confidence, creativity, and collaboration while discovering how storytelling, acting, and filmmaking come together to bring an idea to life.
In July 2026, Adventure in the Andes was presented at the 1st Children’s Arts Festival in Miami, organized by Para Bajitos, giving the students the opportunity to share their work with an audience as part of a larger celebration of children and the arts.
